Compass Professional Studies

Compass is a career-focused learning program for students in grades 11 and 12. It allows you to meet and work with professionals in careers that interest you.

Overview

Students in our Compass Professional Studies program:

  • Earn high school and college credit.
  • Explore career paths. 
  • Work side-by-side with professionals in the workplace.
  • Get a sense of what employees do and what employers want.

Compass courses are designed and taught in collaboration with: 

  • Business leaders in our community.
  • Faculty from our college partners.

Working professionals help:

  • Create the curriculum.
  • Serve as guest instructors.

Compass mentors

  • Our program matches students with professionals in careers that interest them.
  • The professionals agree to mentor a student for one semester (18 weeks).
