Post-Secondary Enrollment Options
Students in grades 11 and 12 can take college classes while in high school. Our state makes this possible through Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO).
Overview
Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) allow students in grades 11 and 12 to:
- Take college courses.
- Either on campus or online.
- Either part-time or full-time.
- At participating two-year and four-year colleges.
Students in grade 10 may be eligible to take one Career and Technical Education (CTE) course.

Cost
The state works directly with the college to pay for:
- Tuition
- Fees
- Required textbooks
You need to provide your own transportation to and from class.
Eligibility
Each college sets its own eligibility rules.
Registration deadlines
- Fall semester deadline is May 30.
- Spring semester deadline is October 30.
Grades
- PSEO students are considered college students.
- Parents do not have access to their PSEO grades or college records.
- Your grades will appear on your transcript.
Credits
- Wayzata High School awards 1 high school credit for every 2 college credits earned through PSEO.
- Students must select courses that meet all WHS graduation requirements.
