Summer Test-In and Test-Out
We give middle and high school students the opportunity to test into or out of certain math, science and world language courses.
Overview
All of the test-in and test-out exams are optional. We explain how to prepare for each exam and what it means to pass.
Testing into
Testing into a class means taking an exam to make sure you are prepared to take an advanced-level rather than a regular level class. We offer test-in exams for:
Testing out
Testing out of a class means taking a test to show you have already mastered what is taught in a class. If you pass the exam, you can skip that class.
- You do not get credit for the class you skip. It will appear on your transcript with a T next to it, indicating you tested out.
- You still need to take the required number of credits in each subject area.
