SAT
The SAT is a standardized college admissions test. Talk to your counselor about taking this test when you are in grade 11 or 12.
How it works
The SAT:
- Is completely digital.
- Takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes.
- Has two sections.
- Each section is scored on a scale of 200 to 800.
- Total scores range from 400 to 1600.

What to know
- Allow yourself at least 30 minutes to register.
- Have your transcript handy to help you answer questions.
- Have a photo ready to upload. Check College Board photo requirements.
- Have Wayzata High School's CEEB code handy: 242650
You will have to create a username and password. Save these for future use.
Accommodations
- The accommodations approved for you by the College Board are built into the digital test.
- They cannot be changed or declined on test day.
- If you no longer want to use an approved accommodation, contact your counselor or case manager as soon as possible.
- If you do not have College Board-approved accommodations and want them, request them by the end of August.
Sharing your SAT scores with colleges
- SAT scores are not listed on your high school transcript.
- You have to ask SAT to send your scores directly to any college you apply to.
- SAT will charge a fee for sending the score to the college.
