Meet the Student Body President

Greetings, WHS students!

My name is Abhay Punjabi and I have the honor of serving as your student body president for the 2026-2027 school year. There is no place quite like Wayzata High School, and I am beyond proud to welcome all new and returning students.

Our students are welcoming

As you enter this building for the first time, the size and scale of everything can seem intimidating. However, the students of Wayzata are incredibly welcoming. I encourage you to put yourself out there and talk to students you do not know, as it makes this big school feel small.

Our teachers are here for you

But the culture of Wayzata is not just seen in its students, it is exemplified daily by every teacher you will work with. Our school's motto is “We’re here for you”, and that promise will be upheld throughout your time in this building by everybody you meet.

Find your group

Wayzata is not just known for its high academic standard, but also for its incredible clubs, athletics, and arts. While you are with us in this school, I ask that you put yourself out there and join the groups that interest you. The community of Wayzata is what makes this school as phenomenal as it is, so embrace and participate in that Trojan Pride.

You will be spending four of the most influential years of your life in this building with us. Trust me when I say that this time will be best spent when you put yourself out there and do everything to the best of your ability. These four years go by fast when you live every moment.

My committment

It is a privilege to be able to call myself your student body president, and I promise to work every day to make the time you spend here incredible.
